The Big 5 International Building & Construction Show was a first grade opportunity for our company to participate in what is probably the most significant attempt of the industry to collectively regroup and reflect upon the ongoing global recession. More importantly it was a statement behalf of the participants, both exhibitors and visitors that the industry is as dynamic as ever and ready to ask for and provide, new efficient and effective technologies suited for current and future project requirements. We witnessed a massive show both in terms of exhibitors and visitors in an event truly global in every sense of the word.  Exhibitors came from 71 countries and visitors whom most came from the Gulf area, neared 50,000 during the 4 days of the show.

In a few words the core of our strategy was Functional positioning with systems that solve problems, provide clear benefits to customers, and continually create favorable impressions to stakeholders.   Other central points we stressed during our presentation were our focus on the effective utilization of potential customers’ existing resources, after sales support and our enhancing competitive prices.

The organization of the event and the overall impression was very positive especially if one considers the great numbers of exhibitors and visitors involved. We personally received slightly over 400 contacts of which we estimate a 10 to 15 percent to be useful. We have established contact with companies from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Syria, Libya, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen, Oman Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. We have certainly managed to expose PZ to an even greater number of market stakeholders who stopped to ask about our systems and our country’s origin. We were able to utilize our contacts and work on business deals.

We have in effect been able to benefit greatly from our attendance to the exhibition. Despite the ongoing recession which is especially hard on Dubai we are positive that we are the right path. Our clearly defined goals that stem from our strategic decision to reposition our focus to emerged and emerging markets have so far been met and we strongly believe that will continue to do so. The benefits of our strategy will yield significant competitive advantages for our company.
